The Elections Committee works closely with the Executive Board to plan and organize elections held by Pi Chapter as it pertains to the Bylaws. These elections include the annual elections for board positions, elections for events related to membership interest, and many others as they deem appropriate. Get Involved

The committee is looking for members who are interested in helping plan and coordinate the various elections held by the Pi Chapter. If you're interested in helping or becoming the new Elections Committee chair, please reach out to Rebekah Torres, President of the Pi Chapter, at pichapterdk@capelladeltakappa.org

Tasks and Responsibilities

Duties of Committee Members

Review and understand requirements of elections in Bylaws.

Establish a timeline and plans- steps needed to be taken before the election, during the election and after the election.

Notifying the board with the timeline and procedures for recruiting members to run- Email plans to board for review and present at board meetings

Attend monthly meetings (1 hour) with Chair.

Time Commitment (Approximately)

Committee meetings – 1 hour per month

Review and research of election process – 30 minutes per month

Responding to committee or board inquiries – 1 hour per month

Occasional review of nominations and election results– 1 to 2 hours per month (approximately 20 to 30 minutes per week)

Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the chair – 1 hour per month
