Oversee the annual scholarships

Ensure the timely and fair disposition of scholarship funds.

Collaborating with other Pi Chapter committees in publicizing and soliciting scholarship  applications.

Willingness to spend time individually and with committee to reviewing scholarship  applications

Available for one-hour monthly meetings- time and date TBD by Chair

Ability to work with other reviewers in a team environment

Openness in revealing any conflict of interest with potential scholarship applicants

Understanding the need for fairness, objectivity and nondiscrimination within the  scholarship selection process

Ability to focus on the specific selection criteria in determining the award winners

Under the guidance of the Chair, make recommendations on recipients for each assigned  scholarship to the Pi Chapter of Delta Kappa Board for final approval

Committee meetings – 20 minutes per month

Scholarship Maintenance and updates – 10 minutes per month

Responding to committee or board inquiries – 30 minutes per month

Occasional scholarship applications review – 1 hour towards the end of the year

Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the chair – 1 hour per month

Total approximate commitment per month – 2 hours
