Scholarship Guidelines

Please make sure to read the scholarship criteria to the right VERY carefully; applications submitted by applicants that have not met the specific criteria for the scholarship they are applying for will not be considered. All scholarship applicants must be current members of Delta Kappa’s Pi Chapter in good standing. Active Pi Chapter Students may apply for all three scholarships if eligibility requirements are met. All applications for scholarships MUST be submitted via email at

Distinguished Academic Scholarship (Active Students only)

This scholarship is meant to support Pi Chapter members who have maintained the highest level of academic scholarship. One member of the Pi Chapter of Delta Kappa who has maintained a 4.0 GPA is encouraged to apply for $850.00 to help support his or her academic pursuits. Applicants are to write an essay on how they have maintained high scholastic achievement throughout their program. 

  

Leadership Scholarship (Active Students only)

This scholarship is intended to help support Pi Chapter members who are impacting the field of marriage and family therapy via a leadership role. All members of the Pi Chapter of Delta Kappa are encouraged to apply for a $850.00 scholarship that have met the above-mentioned criteria to help cover any costs associated with the leadership role. This Pi Chapter member is to complete an essay describing your definition of leadership; the leadership role or position held; how the position has or is impacting the MFT field and a final statement as to why you deserve the scholarship. Submit evidence/facts of the leadership position held. 

 

Research Scholarship (Active Students and Alumni)

This scholarship is meant to help support Pi Chapter members who have been accepted to present at a local, state, or national conference (AAMFT or its local affiliates). Any member who will or has presented at a conference is encouraged to apply for $850.00 to help pay for the costs affiliated with the presentation. Applicants must provide proof of the presentation as well as a synopsis of the presentation.
